Vision and appearanc: In affected children with strabismus (misaligned eyes), the main goal is development of good and equal vision in both eyes. Another goal is to establish good alignment between the eyes to give a normal appearance. These goals can often be accomplished with a combination of patching the weaker eye, glasses, or eye muscle surgery. In adults, the main goal is normal appearance since vision is stable.
