Can someone have too much acid in my body?

Yes: There are conditions known as acidosis & alkalosis, too much and too little acid, respectively. Acid-base physiology is a complex topic, but in general, either can usually be classified as either respiratory or metabolic (or sometimes both!). Two systems keep acid/base balance in check: respiratory (lungs) and renal (kidneys). Disorders of either system can disrupt the body's ability to regulate.
