See perinatologist: A baby with an omphalocele can have many associated issues, including cardiac, chromosomal, lung, or other additional problems. The key is to be evaluated by a perinatologist, and have a fetal MRI and a cardiac echo. This will allow you to better understand if and what additional issues may be present. Then, meet with a pediatric surgeon and cardiac surgeon if echo abnormal.
