Cancer: Hodgkin disease is a cancer of the lymph glands (though it is treatable and often curable) that presents with enlargement of lymph glands, spleen and some times other organs. Fever, weight loss and infections are other symptoms.

Lymph node swelling.: Most patients have no symptoms other than swollen lymph nodes, especially in the neck or under the arms. Of those that do have symptoms, the common ones are unexplained fevers, sweating at night, and weight loss.
