Thyroid Hormone: Thyrolar (thyroxine and liothyronine) is a pill with both T4 and T3 thyroid hormone in it. Thyroid hormone is used to treat people who make too little or no thyroid hormone due to an underactive gland or past history of thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine treatment for an overactive thyroid gland. Thyroid hormone, including thyrolar, (thyroxine and liothyronine) is not used to treat weight problems.
