My throat has been bothering me since oct. looks red, swollen. did bloodte5st was negative, not strep or sinus need advice on zyrtec (cetirizine) but doesnt fix?

Throat: Given the long time course, I would suspect you have a continuous post nasal drip irritating the posterior pharynx. I would try the Zyrtec (or Claritin), perhaps some benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night. If the throat gets better, thats the problem.

Other possible causes include allergies and reflux, if infections have been ruled out. If you are hoarse, then an ENT appt to visualize the vocal cords can be made.
