Is it normal to urinate a lot (say 6-10 times daily) if you're drinking the daily recommended water intake (8-10 glasses) ?

Yes: Drink more=pee more. I find the recommendation to drink full glasses of water a stupid myth. You consume fluid value in many fluids & foods you consume. If you pee at least every 6 hours you will be adequately hydrated. If you want to spend much of the day in the bathroom peeing continue the water.
