i sprained my ankle over 2 wks. ago. ortho says he thinks severe ligament tears but still waiting on mri. can't feel my toes anymore and they twitch?

Swelling: Ankle sprains are ubiquitous. When the outside ligament(s) of the ankle tear or stretch swelling occurs( and bruising ). The swelling/ bleeding can affect the sensory nerve(s) to your foot and cause numbness ( usually transient).Spasms of the toes are also common and temporary.Keep your foot elevated as much as you can and remember some ankle sprains take 6 wks.to heal!
