(a) Carbohydrate means sugar, all forms, (b) all are absorbed only as simple sugars & (c) food industry has well over 50 different words for simple sugars beyond sucrose (a glucose+fructose linked into a single molecule). To say you cannot give up sugar=saying cannot give up carrying fat you do not want (& the recurring associated cravings). Ketosis means "burning fat" & is required to ↓body fat!

Fitness friends: A great goal that no one achieves alone. Find a fitness activity that you enjoy and a group of people that you like and who'll do it with you. Push yourself and you'll win their respect and friendship. They'll guide you and you'll enjoy this more than greasy / sugary / salty food. Your brain will reset from hard exercise and guide you reliably about eating right for your body.

New Lifestyle: Do not diet, as this really is "die" with a "t". Create a new lifestyle that you enjoy: eating frequent, healthy, tasty small meals, walking everywhere you can, drink lots of water (add squeeze of citrus for flavor), drink tasty tea with zero for pleasure in the day. Join online support (like "the biggest loser") to keep you feeling motivated too! good luck! enjoy how much better you feel daily!

That's probably good: If you are working out that is actually great!. It means that you may be replacing fat with muscle. Increased muscle burns calories & increases metabolic rate. Keep it up!
