NO: How can that be?? Most women gain SOME weight during pregnancy (swelling of breasts etc) which is HEALTHY! Clarify your question.. Hope this helps Dr Z

Pregnancy: in a normal pregnancy we want a woman to gain 25 to 30 lbs. if one is severely overweight then yes what you suggest is possible. We certainly do not want women to de dieting to lose or maintain their weight while pregnant. It is not safe for them or their baby.
