i have ibs and bad anxiety. i always have an upset stomach and the need to go to the bathroom. i just got prescribed bentyl, (dicyclomine) omeprazol, will it help?

It should help: those are very good medications for IBS. Unfortunately, they do nothing for your anxiety. I hope that is also being addressed wit therapy or medications.

IBS and Anxiety: Medications is only part of the solution, healthy life style changes, irritant avoidance, finding offending dietary indiscretions that do not make you feel well is important. see your your gastroenterologist for guidance and work up. you may try avoiding glutten for a week to see if symptoms ameliorate . daily bacillus acidophylos may complement your diet
