During med school...: Assuming you're asking about age of patient, we perform "physicals" starting at birth. If you're asking about pelvic exams & Pap smears, consensus has changed over the years but now most agree to start at 21yo - see http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/pap-smear/basics/why-its-done/prc-20013038. In fact, pelvic & Pap are not even required for birth control pills in teen http://goo.gl/0xLCEa

Physical exams are: done on patients from birth till the last day of life. If you're asking when GYN exams are done, anytime there's a concern or between age 13-15 for external evaluation of the genitals & dicussion of a daily Folic Acid supplement, safe sex, breast self-exam, etc., if a girl has had her first period. Internal examination of reproductive organs starts at 21, if no prior issues.
