Irritable bowel : The symptoms you're describing are part of IBS. If your doctor plans no further tests, I would start by adding fiber to your diet. Fruits and vegetables and whole grains, and possibly even a fiber supplement, as a start. If this doesn't help, and it could take weeks to kick in, your doctor might consider starting antispasmodics or other medicines. Go back to see him to make a plan. Good luck.

Indigestion?: If you don't have a formal diagnosis of IBD, and all tests are negative, it sounds like something else is the main issue. If you have a GI doctor, they may want to do endoscopy or other functional testing to nail this down. If they prescribed a diet to follow this is more important than the test results- make sure you follow the diet closely before you jump to conclusions.

IBS: IBS is not diagnosed with blood tests or ultrasound. It is diagnosed when other things are normal. Ask your doctor for suggestions for treatment. There are some meds and many people find that probiotics help.
