Get checked.: Get checked for strep throat. If you have it, you must get treated with antibiotics or you run the risk of developing rheumatic heart disease. Go to an UC.

Sore Throat: A bad sore throat and being tired is more likely related to a viral syndrome (pharyngitis or mononucleosis) or strep throat. Myocarditis is very uncommon and unlikely to be the case here. Go have your sore throat evaluated and treated, and your fears can be put to rest.

Myocarditis: Myocarditis can be caused by multiple organisms but most commonly is a post viral side effect. If your not having any heart related symptoms such as chest pain or palpitations it is unlikely you have it but check with your doctor if you are that concerned about the possibility.

Myocarditis: Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle with varied causes. Symptoms include shortness of breath and abnormal heart rhythm, not sore throat. Endocarditis is an inflammation of an infected heart valve, usually due to untreated strep pharyngitis. Seen in folks who have valve disease and do not take antibiotics prior to dental work. also seen in IV drug abusers. Get a throat culture.

Are you thinking of streptococcal sore throat and possible associated carditis (Rheumatic fever)? You still need to check for the strep throat with a visit to the doctor first.

Probably low: The symptoms you describe are fairly common and might occur simply with the common cold. Myocarditis often has many signs and symptoms seen in heart failure (shortness of breath, swelling of the legs and irregular heart rhythm, etc.), as well as chest pain, fever, muscle aches, and sometimes sore throat and diarrhea. See your doctor if your symptoms persist.
