Heavy Period: It's quite likely you just had an abnormally heavy period and I would not necessarily make any assumptions about how this relates to a possible pregnancy in the near future.Sometimes fluctuating levels of your hormones can cause heavier bleeding and more cramping than normal. If this becomes more of a pattern, have a discussion with your doctor and how to get a handle on when you are ovulating.

Pregnancy?: Heavy bleeding with clots can cause severe pain as large clots to be forced by uterine contractions through the narrow canal in the cervix. The strong contractions can cause nausea. Obtain a serum HCG test to make sure you are not pregnant, and if positive see your healthcare provider immediately to make sure the pregnancy is not in your tube (ectopic).
