i've accidently been taking my new pack of birth control and missed the sugar pills. didn't get a scheduled period and i am spotting, is this normal?

Breakthru bleeding: Since you skipped your sugar pills, the lining of your uterus wasn't shed completely the way it would have been with a menstrual period. Now, small amounts of the lining are being shed irregularly. Your cycles will reset back to normal after your next period as long as you take your Pills as directed.
