Yes, there is more: That can be done to assist your recovery. You will need to see an orthopedist, however some family doctors also are trained to provide Intraarticular injections of corticosteroids. This is the next step if you have had a full course of NSAIDs and physical therapy. If you have not had a trial of NSAIDs and you can take them, that's the next step. Talk with your physician and ask if referral needed.
