Cant say w/out exam: BUT, cortisone shots help best when there is an acute inflammation that didn't go away but should have.
2) from something that is more than what you will do daily after the shot worked (otherwise the pain comes right back immediately).
3) in the joint and not the muscle.
4) staying without dwindling for a week at least.
