Hard to say: Dull pain can possibly just be post-surgery reaction to the extraction. If there is swelling or extreme pain, it could be a dry socket. Best to call the oral surgeon/dentist and possibly be seen just to be sure.

Be patient: It is common to experience pain and swelling after wisdom tooth extraction. It may last for 7-10 days. If you experience severe pain or swelling 7 days after tooth removal, visit your dentist to rule out any complications.

Probably OK: You had surgery. You may have some soreness for up to 2 weeks. If you have extreme pain, foul taste, foul smell, fever, swelling, return to your Surgeon. If you are unsure, return to your Surgeon.
