My renal dr prescribed guanfacine for my hypertension. i have lvhypertrophy. leary of new meds. on edecrin,bystolic (nebivolol). would cozar be better to take?

HTN: Management of hypertension is dependent on multiple things….Other illnesses (DIabets, heart disease, CKD, for example), allergies, drug interactions, labs and cost. Cozaar (losartan) is a great medication but it can cause a change in renal function and potassium levels. Without knowing your history and other ailments, I could not say it would be a better medication.
