Possible: To know that the tonsils are misshappen and ulcerated suggests that there were symptoms requiring evaluation. Misshapen and ulcerated suggests that there is a definined infection causing this problem or that a malignant process is taking place. Squamous cell carcinoma is not uncommon nor is lymphoma. Considering the possibility of tumor development, biopsy is a requirement.
