A 31-year-old female asked:

i've been having a nervous feeling in my chest, kind of like when you get really frightened. also shallow breathing...is this anxiety?

This sounds a lot: like anxiety. If you can find a quiet place - do so. Breath in slowly & deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.

Inderal (propranolol): 20 mg. Is a low dose. Not sure how many times a day it is prescribed, but as long as you had no problems with your blood pressure, skipping one dose should be ok. Inform your doctor if any symptoms occur.

Having pains to my ribs right side and sorness to touch?

Many things: Trauma is usually obvious, fracturing the ribs or bruising the soft tissue in the area. Inflammation can occur without trauma. If there is a rash and you had chicken pox in the past, it could be shingles (herpes zoster). Sometimes tumors will involve the ribs and lead to fracture and pain. If pain does not improve with over the counter medication and time or is severe, see your primary doctor.

When you go to the gynecologist do they have to do the breast exam?

No but should: They don't have to do it if you refuse that portion of the exam but it is a normal part of a complete history and physical examination and a sign of a thorough physician.
