Pregnant?: Take another pregnancy test and if still negative in the urine, confirm with a blood test, and get your hormone levels tested too at the same time. Don't forget to test thyroid at the same time. Best day to get a blood test is days 19-21 of your monthly cycle (or what should be approximately those days). You count day #1 as the first day of bleeding of the last menstrual period.

Missed periods: First, repeat the pregnancy test. Any recent change in birth control method, new medicines prescribed, big change in weight, and are you doing regular, intense athletic training? Pain/cramping? Discharge with bad odor? If repeat pregnancy test negative, recommend an office exam.
