cancer specialist: can a person with stage 2 or 3 cancer ever become cancer free? if yes, does it depend upon the type of cancer?

Yes , many do!: The modern treatments can cure more than half of stage 2 pateints and some of the stage 3 pateints also. But it is dependent on the type of Cancer. For example breast Cancer and melanoma have high cure rates after surgery has removed such tumors. Lung Cancers have lower cure rate.
