If BPD = BPH: The u/s alone cannot distinguish benign from malignant. It can measure size, and it can detect hypechoic areas ripe for biopsy, but no imaging reliably tells benign from malignant in pros ca; one needs a biopsy; and they are usually multiple 6, 12 or 24 and the answer is percent and scored on gleason scale.
