Slightly underweight: Your body mass index (BMI) is 17.6, the norm is 18.5. It might not be a sign of a health problem..Eat at or slightly above maintenance and find a solid lifting program. Your best resource for health information and medical advice is your doctor.

I have ametal platein my leg, and need anmri scanof my low back. Will the metal plate prevent me from getting the mri?

No: Before your MRI you will be asked a series of questions to determine if the MRI is safe for you. The metal plate in your leg should not prevent you from getting an mri. If you become uncomfortable during the scan, you may have to stop and take a break.

Ultrasound. : It is unusual for blood clots in the calf to cause severe pain. However, the test is simple. Get an ultrasound to rule this out because you already have a personal history of deep vein thrombosis.

Ankle swollen &deformed after knee replacement she is 200 lb what is the remedy?

Yes and No: Early in the recovery it is not unusual to have swelling from the knee down into the ankle and foot. With healing proper circulation is reestablished and usually the swelling returns to a more normal state. Ice, elevation, and compression and education may help but if the swelling persist too long more aggressive treatment may be needed. See, your surgeon.

A 27-year-old female asked:

How likely is it for a man to contract chlamydia by receiving oral sex from a woman?

3 doctor answers8 doctors weighed in
Dr. Wayne Ingram
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Mouth to penis CPR?: It is unlikely to transmit chlamydia unless the woman's mouth is already infected. In that case, it could produce a reaction(cpr). The mouth is rife with bacteria as opposed to the "cleaner" vagina, so before one "biblically knows" a partner, it is a great idea to know your partner well and remain monogamous.
