i have lower back pain which radiates to my sides. it's painful to sleep and stand from sitting. bowel movements give short relieve. what could it be?

Constipation can cau: back pain. If this is a problem 4 U, use diet high in fiber & fiber supplement, keep well hydrated, avoid laxatives. Diverticulitis can do the same. This requires a visit 2 Ur PCP 4 a start.
