hip flexor muscle problem after fall and freacture?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Robert Alexander
26 years experience Plastic Surgery
Usually not: Hip flexor damage usually is due to sudden contraction of hip flexor muscles such as in kicking activity, running, or excessive use of these muscles. May occur suddenly and cause a muscle "pull" pain followed by muscle spasm, weakness, and inability to continue actitivy. Occasionally falls may contribute to the problem with overstretching damage to the muscles in front of the hip (iliopsoas).
