Hard to say: Thyroid problems are 1 cause, but there are many Poor diet is also a cause, (eat a variety of fruits and vegetables 7-8 servings a day, etc.) Other diseases can cause hair loss as well as some medications. See your doctor and get a good evaluation with the appropriate blood work to find out if there is a medical cause. (Also to much bleaching, dying, blow-drying, tight pony-tails etc can do it. )
