Children have herpes: Many children have oral herpes. It probably is from parents and other people kissing them, so getting oral herpes is considered a normal part of life. Whether it is Herpes 1 or Herpes 2 would depend on which type is in the kisser's saliva. Haven't heard of anybody being able to predict the percent chance of a child catching herpes from a particular person during a particular time period.
