37 weeks pregnant, 4cm dilated,100% effaced, station 0, lost mucus plug, feeling lots of vaginal pain today, how far away is labor?

Not far away at all: Unfortunately, science can not predict the exact time that your regular uterine contractions will begin and when labor will start. Most pregnant women whose cervix is 4cm dilated ,100% effaced passed 37 wks will tend to rupture their membranes and/or go into labor in days (perhaps 5 to 7).A very few women can rarely go beyond 40 weeks.Discuss the pro and cons of inducing labor after 38 wks if still
