Pathology 29 years experience
Swollen lymph node: A persistently swollen node is concerning and needs to be worked up. Your ENT will likely order a biopsy (FNA, fine needle or open). It is important to understand what process is going on. A pathologist will review your biopsy and hopefully provide answers.
