Days to weeks: It might take "some time" for the inflammation in your lungs burns out and you feel back to normal again. If not better in 2-4 weeks I'd go back to your PCP and get further evaluated. Persistent symptoms mean either inadequate treatment or else some other affliction occurring simultaneously.
