May be nerve : A variety of problems can cause toe pain. Shooting, tingling, numbish type discomfort can be an inflammed nerve. Sore, achy sensation may be inflammation of a joint in the toe or injury. Redness and soreness along the tip of the toe can be an ingrown nail. See your podiatrist for an evaluation. Dr l.
