All pregnant women: are offered either Ist trimester screening using maternal age, nuchal, or neck, translucency on FUS & blood tests for 2 pregnancy-specific substances or similar 1st & 2nd trimester screening. Cell-free fetal DNA analysis of maternal blood is more specific. Yes a detailed fetal anatomic survey can be done. None of these is diagnostic. Echogenic Intracardiac Focus is seen in ~ 3% of normal fetuses.
