I drink water it gives me heartburn I've taken over-the-counter meds and they still don't work what can I do to solve this?

Depends: on which over the counter meds ! TThe most common heartburn problems (occuring in over a quarter of adults sometimes) are mild reflux/esophageal spasm problems. Proton pump inhibitors work most of the time in this (omeprazole) but other OTC drugs do NOT.
