Specializes in Pediatrics
Adolescent medicine: includes a lot of gynecology, and covers teens to early 20's, although you would see some teens in General Peds as well. Menses, birth control, STD's, PMS, vaginitis are all issues that both fields cover. As part of your training, you will be exposed to both fields and that may help you find the area you are most comfortable with. Welcome to the medical field. I wish you well.
Pediatrics 45 years experience
D0 some shadowing: At 18, entering college, you have the potential to shape your future profession. You should shadow nursing staff and doctors, like OB etc to see where your heart is, to direct yourself accordingly to select major in college courses. You may start with carrier counselling at your college.
