Yes: Megace (megestrol) is a synthetic progestin that if taken on a daily basis can suppress menstrual bleeding. Continuous progestin medications tend to act like a chemical D&C which keeps the lining of the uterus thin. If there is no lining to eliminate, there is no menstrual bleeding.
