i had two herniated disks in my lower back, had surgery on them and i still have back pain but recently when i have bowel movement, my pain escalates.

Be seen: There are a number of possible reasons a person might still have problems after a lumbar discectomy. Was it real recent and perhaps you have not fully recovered? It may take 6-8 weeks in some patients for a complete resolution of your symptoms. Either way, I would sure let your surgeon know. It is a pretty successful surgery, hopefully you will be better soon.
