my baby's ear has a small hard bump behind it, i would only assume a lymph node, but she is not sick, and it doesn't hurt her when i touch it.

Lymph node: There are often lymph nodes in this area, also the mastoid bone may be prominent. A lymph node should be small, less than1 cm and mobile. Monitor the area and check with your doctor if growing.
