Abnormal normal: Periods can vary quite a bit even when you've "always" had a certain type of period. Normal can encompass early or late by a few days; shorter or longer periods; light to heavy bleeding. Causes can include anything that alters your hormones - illness, stress, antibiotics. If your periods continue to become more erratic after 2-3 months then it is time to see a GYN doctor.

Reproductive age: Assuming you are within the reproductive age group indeed you could possibly be pregnant. There are also other reasons for alterations in the pattern. Are you trying? Do you have any symptoms? If not trying, did you have unprotected intercourse? Doing a home pregnancy test would help give you an answer.
