Allergy relief?: If you got good benefit with the allergy relief but it made you drowsy, I suspect it contained diphenhydramine. Switch to cetirizine, loratadine or fexofenadine. These have the same antiallergy properties without the drowsy.

Try non sedating: Try non sedating antihistamines (like claritin/loratidine, or allegra/fexofenadine) instead. These will help with your allergy symptoms without making you sleepy. You can also use saline nasal rinse/spray to help with nasal congestion.

Nasal spray: Try the OTC cortisone nasal spray which will likely work better and causes little or no side effects. Even non-sedating antihistamine would not decongest your nose although it may reduce the runny nose, itching, and sneezing.
