Medicine and Memory: Some medicines like beta blockers may cause cognitive impairment. Also some meds for overactive bladder and incontinence.
Dr. Bennett Machanic
Neurology 52 years experience
Yes, not uncommon: Many medications have anticholinergic effects and can cause problems with brain neurochemical pathways. Beta blockers are notorious for creating memory problems, and the drug topamax (topiramate) ("dopamax"), is also an offender. If prior head injury, presence of multiple sclerosis, or mild alzheimer's, the side effects could be magnified.

No it doesn't make you go blind, stop growing, have worse acne, reduce chances of fertility later, etc. Masturbation is considered part of the normal sexual awakening of humans. It is more prevalent earlier in adolescence than later, and can be done excessively,to the point of self harm or social isolation. For most =not

Alzheimer's drugs: Assuming organic memory issues, not caused by sleep deprivation, medication rxtns, vitamin deficiencies, etc. might use memory enhancing agents, such as donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine, (galantamine hydrobromide) memantine, but also medical foods such as phosphatidyl serine, Axona, Cerefolin-NAC. However, always search for underlying reversible entities first.

Effects of porn: Not too my knowledge, but there are studies that frequent pornography use may lead to temporary impotence in young men. Also, keep in mind that some porn is made through human trafficking and can contain underage subjects without it being obvious, which is illegal to possess. Memory problems may more likely be a result of little sleep and substance use like alcohol and depression in young men.
