Rice Cereal Is Okay: G6PD Deficiency is a genetic disorder, a key enzyme is lacking causing red blood cell destruction, anemia, jaundice, & more. Symptoms are triggered by: foods (fava beans, ascorbic acid, soy), drugs (Sulfa), other (infections, moth balls, henna), Most children do fine when fed a variety of healthy foods & avoidance of dietary triggers. Non-soy formula & rice cerelac products are okay to give.
