i have chronic low-level radiating mild-moderate pain from all nail beds of both hands. what is this? this is distracting and causes some distress,

Nail discomfort: Chronic paronichia or fungal infection could be possible, thyroid problem or other medical problem causing your nails to move away from nail bed. Anxiety issues or even typing too much could cause this. Best to see your doctor.
