Degenerative change: In some families, spinal stenosis presents as changes in the neck or the lumbar spine. This can occur at a young age. It has to do with the design of the skeleton.
Cervical disc disease also occurs with injuries, like those in gymnastics, car accidents, football, and horseback riding. Many people however have some changes with their discs, and not all of these people need help.
