No no no: Do NOT give your newborn this syrup! It has a narcotic in it. It is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. If your newborn is ill enough that you think they need medication of some sort, then take your baby to the doctor pronto. If another doctor gave you this medicine to give to your baby, I'd get a second opinion immediately. I find no need for this medication in the newborn period

There are two adol syrups. One with codeine and one without. They are confusing. Be sure you know which one you have. Still I recommend discussing your newborn with your doctor before giving ANYTHING!

Yes: acetaminophen is safe if necessary for a 2 week old baby. But what are the symptoms. 2 week old babies should be evaluated for ANYTHING that would require using acetaminophen. Please consult your doctor.
