i may have sprained or maybe just strained my ankle. a little sore on right lateral area only. can this repair quicky using just rice? no other sym

Need checked: It sounds like a lateral ankle sprain. But how long has the pain been present. I believe you need to be seen by a Foot and Ankle Specialist. You might have a strain or sprain, but the is always a chance of a stress fracture. You might need additional immobilization after your x-rays are taken. Then you have rehab ankle and do all the sports you want without the chance of re-injury.
