Consider: Some benefit shown w/ sugar control taking cinnamon and gemnema - not enough that it would replace Insulin injections - i would not start these without supervision or input from your family physician or endocrinologist.

No: If you donated blood a month ago, you should not be having pain. This would most likely be from phlebitis or irritation to the vein. I would have someone take a look at this or call the facility that drew the blood.

Should be treated: Gerd is common--present in about 70 million americans. As such, there are easy solutions if you have just symptoms. If however you have inflammation due to gerd, this can be progressive & needs to be controlled. Start with behavior & diet changes (see prior healthtap answers), add acid-blocker medications (either h2-blockers or ppi's). Get evaluated, especially if atypical, chronic &/or worsening.

Bleeding: If you are referring to warfarin, it can cause severe bleeding. If aspirin, bleeding and kidney problems. Be very careful with all blood thinners. One needs to be monitored for symptoms and signs of bleeding. If there are concerns, contact your provider.

Be careful: It is common to feel somewhat light headed after donating blood. Everyone reacts differently, but by donating you are briefly compromising your own circulatory effectiveness for a short period of time. It rebounds very quickly.
