are babies likely to have cp if difficult labor?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Derrick Lonsdale

Not necessarily: CP is often blamed erroneously on the OB and has given rise to the common use of caesarean. Brain damage is an unfortunate complication of difficult labor but it is relatively uncommon in today's handling by the ob.
